Kerroo Brewing Company Branding

Roughly translated to ‘quarter’ from Manx Gaelic, Kerroo gets it’s name from owner Nick’s place as one of four brothers, but the brand represents more than just family, and aims to disrupt a stale scene by being impossible to ignore.

Uphill Battle

The Manx Pure Beer Act was brought into law on the Isle of Man in 1874, stating that only water, malt, sugar and hops were allowed to be used in production, meaning that real ale is special on the island of the brewery’s home. But while a one-brewery monopoly is thriving on the island, the beer scene is doing anything but.

Built to Last

Taking inspiration from the Isle of Man’s rich viking history, and the fragments and runes that make up their legacy, this logo is built to stamp Kerroo’s mark on the scene, and to make it one that lasts.

Kerroo came to honour Manx tradition, and to kick up a storm, disrupting the status quo and breathing life into a stagnating beer market. Ushering in a new wave of craft beer, brewed with pride with pure Manx water.
